Heuer Cortina Chronograph -- Lemania 5100 Movement Of all the chronographs that Heuer produced over the years, many collectors believe that this version of the Cortina has one of the prettiest dials. The light blue / navy swirls change with the light and the angle, producing a stunning effect. Sometimes it looks bright blue; other times a deeper blue; sometimes almost black. The finish on the dial is just amazing, and unique among the Heuers.

This version of the Cortina is powered by the Lemania 5100 movement, one of the most rugged and reliable that you will find. This one was serviced by TAG-Heuer USA throughout its life, and is in excellent condition. Chronograph functions (start / stop / reset) are crisp and accurate, and the watch runs strong and keeps excellent time.

Please note that this watch is being sold on a brand new leather strap, NOT the bracelet shown with the watch in these photos. All photos show the watch that is actually being offered for sale.

To my eye, the dial and hands are flawless. The case is clean, and shows only the lightest wear. This is the cleanest, brightest sample of the blue Cortina that we have seen offered.

Heuer chronographs have had a strong rise in their values over the past few months, and this version of the Cortina is one of the rarest of all the Heuers. Below, you see the Cortina in Heuer's 1985 catalog. We don't see many of these Cortinas, and you certainly will not find one in better condition -- cosmetically or mechanically.
