Autavia
Automatic, Reference 1163 --
Rare
Version with Orange Trim
This
may be the rarest of the Automatic
Autavias -- it has the design of a
"Siffert" or a "Viceroy", but with
orange trim and accents (rather than the
blue of the Siffert or the red of the
Viceroy). I can only recall seeing three
of these in my years of collecting the
Autavias, and this one is in the best
condition of the three.
Sorry
About the Dust / Specks / Reflections
on
the photos. I have just checked the
dial with a 10X loupe and can report that
the dial is absolutely clean . . . no
specks or flaws to my eye.

This
is one awesome looking Autavia -- brushed steel
hands, with colored tips and matching accents on
the dial, but tips and accents are orange rather
than the usual blue or red. Even the needles on the
registers follow the color scheme, with a unique
burnt orange.

This
chronograph was serviced recently and is keeping
good time, with the chronograph functions operating
properly (start / stop / reset). The case is in
excellent condition, showing light
wear.
|
This
is a rare one, and if the orange and black appeals
to you, then you should grab it, as you are
unlikely to see another one anytime
soon.
